Summary

This release brings back automatic calendar sync, initially this feature is only available to Supporters. I will be adding 'Add to Calendar' for all users in a smaller update soon. This release brings a bunch of small fixes as well.

Summary

Finally, the widgets are here! This has been an ask for many many months now. I'm not sure exactly how happy I am with these however it's a start, let me know what you like and what you don't want. Before I add background customizability and other settings I wanted to get some data on which widgets are working and which are not.

I also took some time to work on various UI improvements and crashes that have popped up. Thanks for all the reports and feedback!

Summary

This release brought a quick thrown together Weather forecast for launch sites, this does have a cost associated with it therefore it's restricted to Supporters for now. I will be expanding this feature and incorporating it in other places in the UI where possible.

I also updated the countdown timer, still some work to be done on it but I like this design a bit more.

Summary

This is a pretty big milestone for performance improvements, this release included a drastic reduction in total APK size from ~22MB down to 9.7MB. Most of the space savings came from reducing static images (JPEG, PNG, etc) and replacing them with Vector Drawable equivalents thanks to the work done by the Android Support Library team. Additional APK size reduction is possible through ProGuard but i'm having some issues implementing it.

I was also able to fix several memory leaks and performance issues. Low memory and older devices should see better performance, still some room for improvement thanks to Google Maps library causing leaks all over the place. Also first boot and cold starts are much quicker.

There was some feedback from users that notifications weren't firing properly and battery drain events. I think there was an weird state the Launch Tracking service could get into if there was poor or weak internet service. I will still be monitoring those issues and as always feel free to report bugs on the Reddit release thread or at [email protected].

Supporter Update:

Thank you for those that have decided to become a supporter, this update was aimed at increasing the stability and performance of the platform. I will be focusing on sprinkling additional features into the next batch of releases.

Hey everyone, looking at having one more small Beta release next week before moving into production. So far around 900 people have installed the application, thanks to everyone that's poured into the application with feedback and kind words. The final issue to stamp out is Google Maps causing a memory leak, its one of my favorite features so im trying to salvage it if at all possible.

• Android Wear Watch Face - Simple digital watch with countdown to the next launch.
• Added moar filtering options and enabled for both Upcoming and Previous
• Added moar new data now available from Launch Library v1.2 should notice an increase in images available.

Thanks for everyone's patience, this release was delayed due to a bug introduced by Google that caused crashes for anyone using Android 4.0.4-4.1.X. Also doing a lot of leg work for new data coming through launch library. I've got a decent backlog of things to finish up. The next release should be sometime early next week.
