AWS App Mesh controller CRDs have been updated to use the v1 CustomResourceDefinition API version. This ensures compatibility with Kubernetes version 1.22.
If you are planning to migrate to K8s 1.22 then we recommend that you update the CRD's as instructed here followed by installation of latest appmesh-controller.
