Thanks to @rembik, the role is a lot simpler to read and maintain.

A major version, because the bootstrap_preview variable is gone. The rest of the interface and functions remains the same.

This rewrite supports CentOS 8 and Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.

The method to discover what to install has been changed from package manager based to distribution characteristics based. Feels like a more sturdy way to decide what to install.
