Borderless Gaming v10 is officially out on Steam, including the favorite migration tool.

For access, please go purchase Borderless Gaming on Steam! to support it's continued development.

Free builds / installers will be made available in two weeks and this release will be updated. You can find release notes here.

The migration to .NET 8 has been completed. A number of bug fixes have been introduced to address crashing and stability issues caused by Windows 11.

If no issues are reported with this release, it and the setting migration tool will be released in March.

I'm excited to announce that after a significant hiatus, I'm back with a new update! The Borderless Gaming 10.0 prerelease isn't just about adding new features - it's about stepping into the future. I've ported the entire project from the .NET Framework, which it was initially built on, to the streamlined, efficient .NET 8.

The significant changes you'll find in this release include:

• Updated Tech: The transition to .NET 8 ensures the software continues to run seamlessly on modern systems, giving Borderless Gaming a solid foundation for future enhancements and features.

• Improved Stability: I've focused on fixing various stability issues that have occasionally impacted users in the past, ensuring a smoother, more consistent gaming experience.

• Standalone Executable: No more dependencies! Borderless Gaming now operates as a standalone executable.

But this is just the beginning! I have plans for more features and improvements in the pipeline, including expanding Borderless Gaming to support macOS and Linux. This has been a long-requested feature and I'm delighted to be working towards making it a reality.

This release is identical to 9.5.4. The certificate used to sign the last release has expired and cannot be renewed; I have chosen to sign it using the EV cert from my company which should always be up-to-date.

I also owe the entire community an apology. If you wish to read it you can do so here. It covers a lot of details and how I plan to step away from Borderless-Gaming to make up for past actions.

This will undo changes from 9.0 that were made for Unreal games, as a results they are again unsupported until a solid fix can be put in place.

• Swapped the Aurora Group copyright text and image from the About menu and replaces it with Codeusa Software again.
• Fixed a minor menu issue with the Favorites list right-click showing checkmarks at odd offsets.
• Added a statusbar label hint for right-clicking since it's not obvious you can do that and wasn't present in pre-6.5 versions.
• Added a menu option to the Help menu that links to the 'How to use' guide at the Steam discussion board.
• Updated the source code solution and installer to multiple projects that compile to different binaries with individual projects overlapping source files wherever possible. This will make it easier to deploy Steam versions.

Whats included in this update?

• Added exception handling when reading Favorites settings so that in the case of corrupt or unreadable favorites, the application may continue to load without them. This resolves issue #191.
• Added more exception handling when enumerating processes to prevent issues where Windows is resuming from sleep or hibernation and a process is not responding or unavailable in an unusual way. This resolves issue #208.
• Merged changes from SecretOnline, including adding a process to favorites by regex string and togglable application update availability check.
• Updated the program icon with a new font that's more visible at more resolutions.
• Added an installer reference to Microsoft.Threading.Tasks.dll -- code changes from steveadoo32 add non-.Net default library requirements, but had forgotten to add a reference in the installer so it was missing from deployment. This fixes issues #209 and #210.

Earlier this week @impulser passed away, he was one of the early contributors to this project and my dear friend. After over a decade of friendship his death is hitting me pretty hard. I still don't necessarily want to believe hes gone.
