Welcome to the April 28th Release of Accessibility Insights for Web
The Preview features panel now has a "More export options" switch. This switch adds a drop-down menu to the "Export" button of "Export results" dialogs with a new option to export a report to CodePen, as opposed to downloading an html file.
Thanks @sean-beard for contributing this feature! (#2252)
Accessibility Insights for Web can now scan a page that uses a non- element as the document body (for example, pages based on a element). (#2437)
The dropdown menu available after selecting the Accessibility Insights for Web browser toolbar button now includes a "Third party notices" option built into the extension. This replaces the link to our NOTICE file on GitHub previously listed in our Chrome Web Store and Edge Add-on Store listings. (#2525)
*Clarified "How to fix" text in "Focus > Revealing content" to exclude expandable tree views from the requirement (#2426)
*Clarified grammar of "How to fix" text in "Sequence > Layout" tables requirement (#2554)
*Updated the headings guidance information to note that using exactly one top-level heading is best-practice, not a WCAG 1.3.1 requirement (#2480)
*Restarting an Assessment will now go to the Overview page rather than Automated Checks (#2522)
*Fixed visual alignment of outcome count in Automated Checks section of FastPass report (#2496)
*Improved color contrast of several buttons in high contrast mode (#2439)
*Assessment exported report footers now refer to "axe-core" instead of "Axe"

Welcome to the March 30th Release of Accessibility Insights for Web
Images implemented using <svg>
tags, icon fonts with <i>
tags, and CSS background images were previously reported as meaningful whenever they had any associated accessible text, even if they did not have a role="img"
attribute (#696). In this release, we have updated the text and/or instance detection of the following requirements to consider those types of images as decorative instead (#2389):
Exported reports will now display a confirmation dialog before following links to the page being tested (#2399).
Fixed performance issues when using the browser's Dev Tools to inspect elements on pages with Accessibility Insights visualizations active (#2408)

Install Accessibility Insights for Android
Accessibility Insights for Android is a free, open source tool that helps developers find and fix accessibility issues in Android apps.
The tool runs on Windows, Mac, and Linux. You can test apps on a hardware device or on an Android Virtual Device.
Automated checks in Accessibility Insights for Android
Accessibility Insights for Android features automated checks that quickly test UI elements for some common accessibility issues, such as low contrast, missing names, or inadequate touch target sizes. The rules are based on axe-android, an open source accessibility rules library developed by Deque Systems.
In Accessibility Insights for Android, the results are displayed with a screenshot of the app being tested.
Each of the flagged accessibility issues are highlighted in the screenshot as well as in a list with instructions on how to fix the issue.
With the settings options, users can also opt-in or out of telemetry and use the High Contrast mode.

Based on numerous feedback and user studies we have a new UI for Automated checks in FastPass.
The new UI is consistent with the automated checks report. This also simplifies the workflow for selecting elements and reviewing the details on the failure and how to fix information.
We are changing permissions of Accessibility Insights for Web to only request access to the active page. This provides additional security and privacy to our users and will streamline the review process for publishing the extension.
For our users this means to changes to the workflow:
