Display votes how you like

Instead of the total of up+down votes like now, maybe you want to split them out? Or you just want to hide them completely? Now you can. Thanks @rsammelson!

Show selected top sort in main sort menu

When a top sort is selected, you'll now be able to see it from the main sort menu! It's a very nice touch. Thanks @rlirli!

Hide read posts is here!! 🎉 Try it out and let me know what you think! There's also an option in settings to enable a blue floating hide read button in the bottom right of your feed for easy access.

Another release with some anticipated features!

Mark posts read on scroll

(disabled by default) you can now setup posts to be marked read when you scroll past them! This is a cool feature but will become even more useful when "hide read posts" is finished later this week.

Android mode (beta)

There's now a setting to enable Android mode! Please keep in mind that it's a beta isn't finished! This is mainly getting the setting enabled so we can improve the styles and iterate. :) Let me know what you think! Do you prefer the iOS theme on Android? Do you prefer the Android theme on iOS? 😈

Show user instances

Did you even find it annoying that you had to tap into a user to determine the instance they're on? Well now there's a setting to show the instance URL of all users that aren't on your instance! Super handy, thanks @rsammelson!

Hey I'm really excited for this release! It's all about settings and there's more to come!

Blur NSFW on a per-account basis

Go to Appearance => Blur NSFW and change the option! It will persist for your account (or no account it logged out) so you can have different selections for different accounts! Try it out!

Set default comment sort

This one is global for all accounts. Set a default sort if you don't prefer "Hot"! It's in the brand new General Settings page, check it out!

Compact mode customization

There's a couple new options for configuring compact mode. Check it out! You can now change the thumbnail position, as well has hide/show vote buttons. (More to come soon!)

Accessibility

Set even LARGER font sizes! Just keep in mind that the UI might look a little strange.

Block communities from the feed (or wherever)

ANYWHERE you see a community name/avatar, you can now long press to block the community! It's super quick and easy.

Edit icons for post and comments

Easily determine if a post or comment has been edited, and even tap into it to determine when it was edited!

This is a bugfix release, but with polish of edge cases!

Expanding collapsed comment threads has been fixed. Additionally, you can now reply to a collapsed comment chain and still be able to expand the chain! Before there was a bug that prevented this.

Oh, and thanks to @mdecourcy for fixing a bug regarding sort scrolling!

Use a lemmy.world account and not seeing your data? Lemmy.world last night was affected by a lemmy vulnerability and had to revoke all login tokens.

App users

Users don't need to change anything. If you want the new app name, you can reinstall the app.

Docker deployments

Note Docker users should change image from wefwef to voyager. The wefwef image will no longer be updated.

New features!

User and community blocking

You can now block users and communities! Just go to their page and tap the ellipsis in the header. Additionally, there's a new "Filters & Blocks" section to settings (applied per user)!

There's also an option to hide all NSFW content for your account!

Finally, it's now much easier to message users. Just tap on their profile and "Send Message"!

Favorite communities

Favorite communities for them to be at the top of the community quick switcher and your communities list. So much easier than scrolling to find the communities you frequent most often! Thanks @httpjamesm for this feature that's been a long time coming.

To favorite (or unfavorite), just visit the community and tap the ellipse in the header.

Lots of fixes and tweaks in this release! The largest change you'll notice is posts are now marked as read when you tap into them (thanks @robertnabbe)! In the future this will be a configurable option. This is exciting, because we're now able to add a "hide read posts" feature in an upcoming release! Stay tuned.

wefwef is now Voyager

I'd also like to announce that wefwef will be changing names to Voyager! Expect a new release with new naming Sunday night/monday morning.

We'll also be updating the Github repo name. If you'd like you can remove the app and reinstall from https://vger.app, but it's totally not necessary.
