This release corresponds to the 3.40 release of the Windows version.

Although titled "Linux", it would be more accurate to call it "wx", as it's built upon wxWidgets, and has been known to run on some non-Linux platforms.

Note that the change from 0.99 to 1.00 does not signify a major change of any type. This just seemed the least awkward way to move forward, as opposed to 0.991, 0.99.1, etc.

Having said that, the release is stable and quite usable, if a bit less polished than the Windows version.

PasswordSafe release 3.39.1: This release fixes a regression that crept into 3.39, breaking non-English
language support.

If you've already downloaded 3.39.0 and are not using the non-English support, then there's no need to upgrade to this release.

Note that the "Source Code" zip and tgz is automatically created by GitHub. Rather than downloading, verifying, signing and uploading the signature, it's easier for me to create a tgz file from my own source tree, sign that and upload both.

This release corresponds to 3.38.1 of the Windows version. The main difference is the fix for Linux-specific issue https://sourceforge.net/p/passwordsafe/bugs/1281/, which required a major rewrite of the autotype code, done by sauravg in https://github.com/pwsafe/pwsafe/pull/78.

The pre-release of version 3.37 is meant for testers and translators. See the release notes for fixes and new features.

User-visible texts are not expected to change between this and the final release of 3.37.

Contents of this release:

• pwsafe-3.37pre-bin.zip - zip file with new binaries, no installation necessary, just unzip into a new directory for testing
• pwsafe-3.37pre.exe - installer of new version
• *.sig - gpg signatures of the above files
• pos-3.37pre.zip - .PO files for supported languages, ready for updating.
