A TAGS file generator based on http://ctags.sourceforge.net/FORMAT. rdoc-tags handles namespaced classes and modules, ! and ? methods, constants and attributes better than Exuberant Ctags.

== Description
A TAGS file generator that builds both vim and emacs style tags files. Vim tags are based on http://ctags.sourceforge.net/FORMAT). rdoc-tags is compatible with Exuberant Ctags for merging tag definitions.
rdoc-tags includes a Hoe plugin +:rdoc_tags+ making it easy to add tag support to your ruby project. If you don't use Hoe you can instead use RDoc::TagsTask to add rake tasks for building TAGS to your ruby project.

Vim-style tags from the command line:
rdoc -f tags lib
Emacs-style tags from the command line:
rdoc -f tags --tag-style=emacs lib
For hoe projects you can add the tags plugin to all your projects by adding the following to ~/.hoerc:

There is also a rake task you can add to your Rakefile:

RDoc::TagsTask.new do |t| t.tag_style = 'vim' # default end
And use rake tags to generate a TAGS file.
