• We have upgraded from Svelte 4 to Svelte 5 Release Candidate to further boost performance. The bundle size has been reduced to less than 450 KB when minified and gzipped, down to less than 25% of Decap CMS. A full migration to the runes reactivity API will follow. • Hugo’s special _index.md files are now ignored in folder collections. You can still manage these files as part of a file collection if necessary. This effectively solves https://github.com/decaporg/decap-cms/issues/2727 and https://github.com/decaporg/decap-cms/issues/4884.
• If there was an error while parsing an entry file, such as duplicate front matter keys, a clear error message will be displayed in the browser console. This effectively solves https://github.com/decaporg/decap-cms/issues/7262.

• Breaking change: The DateTime widget’s default value has been changed from the current date/time to blank. To prefill a DateTime field with the current date/time, add default: '{{now}}' to the configuration. This change is to catch up with Decap CMS 3.3.0. Further compatibility work will follow.
• Assets stored in an entry-relative media folder are now displayed in the Select Image/File dialog. This solves https://github.com/sveltia/sveltia-cms/discussions/190.
