This package is pretty small. So i do not have any soon plans to create a specific documentation for it. But don't worry, i'm adding inline comments to the source code and jsdoc.

Right now, I don't have any specific rules for contributions, you can modify anything, then make a pull-request and i'll analyze. Just be careful not to run away from the main idea of the package.
